DIRECTIONS

From the HARTFORD area and points west:
Willimantic is 28 miles from Hartford--about a 35-40 minute drive. Take I-84 East to I-384 East in East Hartford (appx. 4 miles). I-384 ends eight miles later at the junction of 6 and 44.

* At the Juncture of Routes 44 and 6, bear right and take 6 East for appx. 11 - 13 miles. At the junction of Route 6 and 66 in Columbia, continue straight and take Route 66 East (do NOT take the Route 6 expressway on the left). Appx. 2 miles further, at the junction of Route 32, Route 66 becomes Main Street in Willimantic. Continue east (slight right) on Main Street appx. one mile and follow directions following the "Alternate Route" instructions in next paragraph.

* Alternate Route: At the junction of Routes 6 and 44, stay left onto route 44, through Bolton. Continue several miles to the light at Route 31 South. There is a large gas station and shopping plaza on the right. Take a right onto Route 31 South. You will then pass Dunkin Donuts on the left. Stay on Route 31 through Coventry, to the end. Take a right onto Route 32, and proceed into downtown Willimantic. After McDonald's and Burger King on your right, Route 32 merges with Route 66, and becomes Main Street in Willimantic. Continue east on Main Street through downtown, approx. one mile.

The Community Foundation is at 670 - 676 Main Street—almost at the end of the street. It is a large tan four-story building on the right, after you pass Bank Street and then North Street, on your left. (If you reach the famous “Frog Bridge” on your right, you've gone a tad too far.) We are across the street from the Frog View Marketplace and Liberty Bank. Turn right at the light that leads to the parking lots behind several large buildings, and turn left to park behind the large tan building. You may park in the small lot closest to the building. Easiest building access is through the lower lobby door at the far rear corner of the building. It is marked with ECSU’s Sustainable Energy logo. Take the elevator or stairs up to the 4th floor and ring the bell - the Community Foundation has office space straight ahead at the end of hall.

From DANIELSON/KILLINGLY, CT and points east:
Take Route 6 West appx. 20 miles. Past the Wal-Mart in North Windham, follow Route 66 West (Route 6 bears off to the right here--do NOT take this!). Continue on Route 66, past the junction of Route 14, and later Route 32. Continue past the next traffic light at Jackson Street. Movie theaters are on your right. Turn left at the next light into the parking lot behind several large buildings (Church Street is on the right). Turn left to park behind the large tan building. At the next light, turn left onto Main Street. Go just a few feet after the light to the second driveway, and bear left into the municipal parking lot. Park behind the large 4-story tan building on the south side of Main Street. You may park in the small lot closest to the building.
